My son likes this costume as he is a HUGE Cars fan. However, it is not stiff enough and doesn't keep its shape. Even my 5 year old is upset that it looks caved in. We may sew in a plastic bar in the back to keep it straight. What a pain for paying that much.
Thanksgiving is a time of the year for great family get-togethers. Sometimes kids feel left out in this festival because they think it belongs to the adults. Allowing your kid to throw his own Thanksgiving party is a great way to allow them to cook for their friends and enjoy the holidays. It is best to pick a time near to but not on Thanksgiving Day because most families have plans for Thanksgiving. The weekend before is usually a good idea because there is a festive mood in the air.
There are several important aspects to throwing a great Thanksgiving party. Food is an important concern. Remember that kids do not like the same food as adults, so sit down with your kid to discuss what he or she and friends would like. You can also have a Thanksgiving party whereby each kid can bring along an item to share with his friends. This can be a fun way to get kids involves in Thanksgiving with less work on your part.
Another important aspect would be the decorations. Since Thanksgiving is in the fall, encourage your kid to go out with you to collect colored leaves and use them as decorations at your party. Let your kids decide what decorations to put up with a Thanksgiving theme. Getting them involved give them a sense of belonging and responsibility. Baskets of fall produce can add to the ambiance of autumn.
The third important aspect is to make sure there are plenty of activities for the children. Art projects are always popular. You can make pilgrim hats or other fall themed things with paper. Set up some examples so that children will have something to work towards. Other fun activities include Thanksgiving themed games.
Education can also be an important part of a Thanksgiving party because Thanksgiving itself is seeped in history. Thanksgiving Day is an annual one-day holiday to give thanks at the end of the harvest season. In the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. You can do a pageant or play or simply focused on how Thanksgiving Day came into being. However, be careful not to offend anyone with any religious implications that other parents might not enjoy you talking to their children about. In life, there are many things to be thankful for and religion need not come into play. Being thankful is a good trait and you can have a fun discussion around the table where each child is allowed a chance to talk about what they are thankful for. The important point of a Thanksgiving party for kids is to show them that Thanksgiving is not only for adults alone. Kid can have fun too.
